“Tracker,” Rae replied without waiting for Noah to finish. He turned to face Noah, rubbing his temples. “They hid a small tracker in her back, near her hip. The others were decoys; they’ll dissolve on their own.”

She rushed into my arms; I could feel her soft, auburn hair against my face. She was shaking and seemed distraught.
“My darling, what has gotten into you?”
I stood before the Victoria, the spaceship that would hurtle me up into the atmosphere, for a circumnavigation of the galaxy. I had been one of thirty men who were selected for this circumnavigation.
“Please, don’t go, my Magellan,” she looked up at me with her soft brown eyes.
I kissed her cheek briskly; the other Galactinauts had begun boarding the Victoria.

You envy everything I've done so you kicked me till I was down
You ensured the safety of a deadman's crown.
